Katherine Shelton - Elf

Sheri- Face

I've been struggling with the nose; spent way too much time on it, wasn't happy with any of them, and now she doesn't really have one. Really wishing I had cut my losses earlier and worked on the rest of it, but really just need to turn it in at this point.

Elf Final; Danielle Powers

My elf, based off a moth species from South Africa and other aboriginal tribe inspirations. Thank you for all the encouragement over the course of this semester, and I hope to have classes with you great artists in the future. Good luck in all your endeavors, guys. c: Critique welcome as always.

Lya Yang - Elf

I had way too much fun with this assignment, I have literally been waiting all semester to paint faces. I think i might have been a little bit over-ambitious with what i wanted to include though, and ended up not finishing all the details and overall color adjustments that i would have liked. I think the head piece looks a little incomplete because of it, and the silhouette is rather boring. (I thought it was fine but now that i've put it online for people to see i'm suddenly finding all these nitpicky details i want to change. ugh.) Photoshop has also crashed on me at least ten times the past two days which made everything really frustrating, and I still suck at any kind of landscape, but...anyways...
Thank you Mark, I had a lot of fun this semester and I feel like I've learned a lot! :)

Wacom Cintiq 12wx for sale (by Scott Hennessy)

Hey, fellow classmates! I'm just putting this up in case anyone is interested!

I am currently selling my Wacom Cintiq 12wx, which, if you didn't know, is a drawing tablet with a 12" (ish) screen that you can draw/paint directly onto  - - It also acts as a second monitor when you aren't using it for painting (awesome for Netflix lovers that want to game at the same time), and can be toggled back and forth to be used like your Intuos, or Bamboo, or what ever you're using.

Its in good shape, and I have everything it came with, except extra niblets (the little bits that go into your stylus pen).  I even have an adaptor for those using an apple computer. Just an FYI, it isn't exactly the most portable piece of equipment since it requires a few chords, and power supply, so I imagine you won't be bringing it to school or class, but if you have the room on a desk at home, its really great.

From what I've seen, used 12wx tablets run at about 500 dollars, but I'm currently asking for 400.

Let me know if you're interested!

Thanks

Katherine Shelton - Face Sketch

Her left eye is causing me trouble. Criticism is welcome.

McKensie Felix - Face Sketch

Not very happy with this. I think that I maybe went a bit too weird. There are definitely some things that I think I will change before the final. Critique welcome!

Coleman Brcko - Elf

I based my elf off of the springbok. I also wanted it more tribal/warrior like, so I'm trying to figure out how to get it to look like she's wearing the skull and horns kinda like a helmet, as well as giving her some face paint.

Elf Sketch -- Danielle Powers

I'm working with the cropping a little more, but here's what I have so far. She's based off  Marble Emperor Moths and South African shaman women. c:

Lya Yang - Face Sketch

I did a basic shading of the face and was playing around with color, and would love to hear your guys' input. I'm not loving the purple fleshy colors, but my original idea was to have a sort of wintery, frosty, icicle tree elf, which is looking a bit more like corpse elf right now. The green one potentially could turn into more of a spring...sapling...type of theme. Any particular opinions?
